JULY 2019 YOGA EXPLORATION SERIES
All Levels Welcome
All levels are invited to attend this three part series covering the basics and beyond to begin or improve your yoga practice. We’ll have a question/answer format to begin with and then we’ll get down to the practice of yoga. Light refreshments will be provided.
WELCOME TO THE MAT
SUNDAY July 14th 6:30 PM
Intro to yoga etiquette, terms and and exploration of two of yoga’s most practiced postures: Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Down Dog. This class is designed for new yogis or those looking to deepen their practice.
SUNDAY July 21st 6:30 PM
BIn this session we’ll build upon the two poses learned in the last class and explore the poses most often linking Tadasana to Down Dog: Forward Fold, 1/2 Lift, Plank, Chaturanga and Belly Backbends.
SUNDAY July 28th 6:30 PM
In this session we will salute the sun! We will put all the poses learned together in what is referred to a Sun Salutation. We will flow with our breath slowly and thoughtfully so that we maintain the strength and integrity in each pose.
About Nathalie Kind-Chalmers
Nathalie moved to Manhattan almost three years ago from California and recently completed her 200-hour yoga certification. Her hobbies include gardening, jewelry making, the outdoors and caring for her husband and two fur-babies.
