This September take time to explore your yoga practice deeper.

All levels are invited to attend our September Yoga Exploration Series covering the basics and beyond to begin or improve your yoga practice.  Each session will include an opportunity to ask questions and an a welcoming practice.


WELCOME TO THE MAT

SUNDAY September 8th 6:30 PM

Whether you are new to yoga or a more experienced yogi learn about yoga etiquette, terms, and explore two of yoga’s most practiced postures.  We go over Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Adho Mukha Savasana (Down Dog).


YOGA FOUNDATIONS

SUNDAY September 15th 6:30 PM

Building on our exploration of Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Adho Mukha Savasana (Down Dog). We begin learn more about yoga flow (aka linking the poses)  This week’s focus will include the Uttanasana (Forward Fold), 1/2 Lift, Plank, Chaturanga and Belly Backbends (cobra, upward dog.


 

Yoga Props

From straps, blocks, bolsters and more; the use of props are the easiest way to support, assist and deepen your yoga practice. This workshop will explore how props can create more space, ease and peace in the body throughout a variety of poses.

SUN SALUTATIONS

SUNDAY September 22nd 6:30 PM

In this session we will salute the sun!  We will put all the poses learned together in what is referred to a Sun Salutation. We will flow with our breath slowly and thoughtfully so that we maintain the strength and integrity in each pose.

Price Per Workshop:  Body First Members: Free ; Nonmembers $7
