For the majority of the USD 383 educators, their October in-service day meant heading to the high school for classroom style training.  However for many of the Physical Education teachers within the district they had hands-on experience.  These teachers donned their tennis shoes and had a “field trip” to Body First’s indoor courts.

Bill Richter from the Roger Trenary Tennis and Education Fund helped coordinate this event bringing together the Missouri Valley USTA,  USD 383,  and Body First.

Missouri Valley USTA provided Net Generation Instructor training to USD 383 PE teachers, future teachers, members of Kansas State University Department of Education faculty, Boys and Girls Club staff, and  members of the Body First  staff.  Net Generation is a United States Tennis Association (USTA)  “Learn to Play” program was created to help get more youth interested in the game of tennis.
